To pay by phone, Ring the customer services number and select option 1.

Please allow up to three working days for the payment to process.

Pay your rent by cash, cheque or debit card

Pay rent at any UK post office or Paypoint outlet. You need your rent payment card or your personalised barcode (find this on your quarterly rent statements).

If you need a replacement card or barcode you can speak to customer services. You can also order a personalised barcode online.

For more information about these payment methods see Ways to make a payment.

Pay your rent by standing order

A standing order is something you set up with your bank. You choose the amount that you send. It's important to choose the right amount to avoid accidently falling into arrears.

It's usually quickest and easiest to set up a standing order directly with your bank and usually done on your banking app. Find our bank details at Ways to make a payment.

You can also request a standing order mandate form by post (which you'll need to complete and send to your bank).

Pay your rent with Universal Credit

If you receive Universal Credit, this normally includes money for rent, which you are responsible for paying to us.

In some circumstances, you can ask for your rent to be paid directly to Oxford City Council to help you manage your payments.

If you need advice or support with paying your rent using Universal Credit, please contact us as soon as possible. You can speak to customer services or request a callback from the rent team.

Pay your rent with Housing Benefit

If you're eligible for Housing Benefit, you can have it paid directly to us. If it doesn't cover your full rent and service charge you'll need to pay the difference in another way.

For support and to apply please visit or speak to our Customer Service Centre.
