This page explains how to join the Garden Waste Collection Scheme with eco sack collections. It includes charges, how to buy more eco sacks and how to renew collections each year.
Our eco sacks are made of compostable paper (we no longer supply or collect the old hessian sacks). Each sack holds 75 litres and measures 80cm x 60cm x 25cm.
You can purchase sacks in rolls of 10 or 20, the charges are:
- 10 sacks for £58.50 or £29.80 with the discount
- 20 sacks for £94 or £52 with the discount
We offer a discount if you receive Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support or Universal Credit (housing element). You must tell us if you stop receiving benefits after you’ve joined as you'll need to pay the full price when you order more sacks.
Our garden waste sacks are non-transferable. We only collect the eco sacks that were purchased from us and from properties that have joined the scheme.
