Day return bus travel from park and ride sites in Oxford is free until 31 March 2026.

This offer is being run by Oxfordshire County Council alongside their temporary congestion charge.

In summary:

  • You must pay for parking to get free travel - show your parking ticket (or RingGo session) to the bus driver when you board
  • Free travel is for up to two adults and three children (standard bus operator fares apply to additional travellers)
  • If you don't pay for parking (e.g. Blue Badge holders) the cheapest parking ticket costs less than the standard fare

Parking charges

You must register your vehicle and start your parking session within 10 minutes of arrival.

Machines accept cash and card. They don't give change. No refunds if you buy a ticket for higher value.

  • Machine or RingGo:
    • Up to 1 hour: Free (but you must still register your session)
    • 1 to 16 hours: £2.50
    • 16 to 24 hours: £4.50
    • 2 days: £8.50
    • 3 days: £12.50
  • RingGo only:
    • 28 days: £45
Pay by phone, app or online

RingGo is the easiest way to pay and manage your parking. You can extend your session remotely, opt for text reminders and more.
