This page explains the designated parking areas for large vehicles. It also includes how to get information about coach permits and drop-off points in the city centre.

Large vehicles include (but are not limited to) lorries, coaches mini-buses, towed caravans or trailers, box vans, LWB vans, motorhomes and large campervan models. 

Designated parking for large vehicles

Large, high-sided or long vehicles are unlikely to meet car park height restrictions or fit inside a standard parking bay.

In Oxford, there are two designated parking areas for larger vehicles.

Oxford Parkway Park and Ride

Camping in our car parks

Camping, eating, drinking, cooking and sleeping are not permitted on any site (in any vehicle).

Coach permits, pick-up and drop-off points

Coaches cannot park up in Oxford city centre and instead have designated pick-up and drop-off points. These are managed and enforced by Oxfordshire County Council.
