Directions

Oxford Parkway Park and Ride (previously known as Water Eaton Park and Ride) is north of Oxford, accessible from the A40 (from Witney and Cheltenham), A4260 (from Kidlington), A34 (from Banbury, Bicester and Northampton) and the M40.

The car park closest to the train station is not a park and ride site and is for Oxford Parkway Station customers (see APCOA Parking at Oxford Parkway Station).

24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Maximum stay
72 hours (3 days) - An Excess Charge Notice will be issued for each day a vehicle is parked for longer. Even if you have a permit or paid for 28 day parking via RingGo.
Blue Badge concessions
Free parking for Blue Badge holders.
Height Restrictions

2.1 metres (6ft 11 inches) at main entrance for cars.

Park and bus

Day return bus travel from park and ride sites in Oxford is free until 31 March 2026.

This offer is being run by Oxfordshire County Council alongside their temporary congestion charge.

In summary:

  • You must pay for parking to get free travel - show your parking ticket (or RingGo session) to the bus driver when you board
  • Free travel is for up to two adults and three children (standard bus operator fares apply to additional travellers)
  • If you don't pay for parking (e.g. Blue Badge holders) the cheapest parking ticket costs less than the standard fare

Parking charges

You must register your vehicle and start your parking session within 10 minutes of arrival.

  • Up to 1 hour: Free (ticket needed)
  • 1 to 16 hours: £2.50
  • 1 day (16 to 24 hours): £4.50
  • 2 days (24 to 48 hours): £8.50
  • 3 days (48 to 72 hours): £12.50
  • 28 days (via RingGo): £45

Coins and cards accepted but machines don't give change (no refunds if you need to buy a ticket for higher value).

Pay by phone, app or online

RingGo is the easiest way to pay and manage your parking. You can opt for text reminders, extend your session remotely and more. Paying in advance doesn't guarantee a space.

Parking permits

The 28 day session at RingGo only covers you for a single site. For a permit you can use at all park and ride sites for up to 12 months, see Buy a Park and Ride parking permit.

English national concessionary bus passes for over 60s and disabled people are accepted on Park and Ride buses.

Terminal building available offering:

  • Sunday: 8am to 8pm

Motorbikes, mopeds, scooters can use parking bays. Standard parking charges apply.
Electric vehicle charge points

There are currently no EV charging points for public use at Oxford Parkway Park and Ride car park.
