Planning Inspectors have confirmed dates for public hearings as part of their independent examination of the Oxford Local Plan 2045.
The hearings will take place in two stages, with the first stage to review strategic issues about legal compliance, local housing needs and the spatial strategy.
This will be happening in-person from Tuesday 20 to Friday 23 October, at The King's Centre, Osney Mead. Hearings will be open for the public to observe.
The Planning Inspectors have issued the Matters, Issues and Questions (MIQs) for the first stage of hearings, which can be found on the Council’s website and have been sent directly to participants (those who responded to the consultation in January-March this year).
The MIQs set out core matters the Inspectors want to test, each with detailed questions for the City Council and consultation participants to submit responses to.
This will be followed by second stage, starting on Tuesday 24 November and expected to last three weeks. Further details and location will be available soon.
