Building Control

IMPORTANT BUILDING CONTROL NOTICE

AEDIS REGULATORY SERVICES TRADING AS AEDIS - BUILDING CONTROL SERVICES.

Building Act 1984.

Building Regulations 2010.

On 10th June 2019, Oxford City Council Building Control was unexpectedly informed by Aedis Regulatory Services trading as Aedis that they no longer possess the required insurance cover to provide their Approved Inspector role (Private Building Control Service).

Failure to have the relevant insurance is a highly important factor if you or your Agent has appointed Aedis Regulatory Services trading as Aedis to undertake the Building Control element of your building work/projects.

Where Aedis Regulatory Services trading as Aedis have submitted the mandatory Initial Notice application to Oxford City Council and the building works have already commenced and Aedis Regulatory Services trading as Aedis becomes or expects to become unable to carry out (or to continue to carry out ) his functions with respect to which the initial notice relates, Aedis Regulatory Services trading as Aedis shall cancel the Initial Notice by notice given to the Local Authority concerned and the person carrying out or intending to carry out the work.
