The Tenant and Leaseholder Board gives residents a stronger voice in how Oxford City Council’s housing services are run.
You must be an Oxford City Council housing tenant, leaseholder or shared owner to apply for the role.
As a Board Member, you’ll work alongside other residents and senior council staff to help shape decisions, review performance, and make sure housing services are fair, responsive, and inclusive.
You don’t need to be an expert, just interested in your home, your community, and how things can be improved. Training and ongoing support will be provided to help you feel confident in your role.
The table below explains what the role involves, the skills or qualities that can help you do it well, and whether we think each one is essential or desirable.
| What you’ll be doing | What helps you do it well |
|---|---|
| Helping make sure housing services meet the right standards |
|
| Speaking up when things aren’t working |
|
| Making sure residents’ experiences are listened to and acted on |
|
| Making sure council plans reflect real resident experiences |
|
| Working well with others to represent residents |
