The Tenancy Sustainment team helps permanent Oxford City Council tenants stay in their home.
Our officers provide support with:
- any crisis that puts your home stability at risk, such as losing income, facing eviction, or being unsafe in your home
- accessing specialist services, including substance misuse and mental health services
- tenancy agreements and eviction prevention
- debt, benefits and understanding welfare changes
- improving and maintaining your property's condition
- relocating, including downsizing and sheltered accommodation applications
- first-time tenancies
Our team cannot provide direct care or legal services such as:
- personal care (shopping, cooking, cleaning)
- emotional support (befriending or professional counselling services)
- legal advice

After submitting a form:
- we'll acknowledge your request within 3 working days (using the contact details provided)
- we'll allocate a Tenancy Sustainment Officer and they will contact you (the tenant) within 5 working days to arrange a meeting
- your Tenancy Sustainment Officer will provide you with their direct contact details so you can keep in touch
