‘Around the world in 80 minutes’ is the theme for the 2017 Christmas Ice Show which will take place on Saturday 9 December and Sunday 10 December at Oxford Ice Rink.
The show is a popular part of the city’s Christmas calendar and this year features international, national and local skating champions alongside over 150 local skaters.
The show is being produced by Oxford Ice Rink and local skate coaches with a lot of help from local skaters and their families.
Vincent Harley, General Manager of the rink said “The Ice Rink Christmas Show is a great way to kick off the festive season. We have some great international quality skaters plus local stars and over a hundred of our own skaters and even Marvin the Penguin taking part”
“The coaches, Ice Rink team, skaters and families put a lot of work into making this show one of the premier Christmas events in the county and I would encourage everyone to come to the show and get in the Christmas spirit.”
Councillor Linda Smith, said Board Member for Leisure, Parks and Sport “Each year Oxford Ice Rink puts on an enchanting show to celebrate the festive season and I am certain that this year will be just as entertaining. This event is a great occasion to celebrate the skill of the talented skaters from Oxford and around the world.”
