Oxford residents are being invited to view and comment on updated proposals for 240 new homes on council-owned land opposite Redbridge Park and Ride.
OX Place, Oxford City Council’s wholly owned housing company, is holding a public exhibition on the plans to transform the former landfill site at Redbridge Paddock into a new riverside neighbourhood development.

Having factored in feedback from the previous consultation in October 2024, the proposed development would deliver 240 homes on the council-owned former landfill brownfield site located opposite the Redbridge Park and Ride. The proposals include affordable homes in line with Oxford’s planning policies, including homes for both Social Rent and Shared Ownership.
The development would provide a mix of one-bedroom flats through to five-bedroom houses, helping to meet a range of housing needs in the city.
The proposals for the circa 11 acre brownfield site, which was previously used as landfill, would also include more than 30% public open space, new landscaped and communal areas, informal recreation space and a linked cycle route.
As well as the exhibition, the materials will be online from 4pm on Wednesday 23 September at www.redbridgeoxford.co.uk.
Feedback from the consultation will be considered as the proposals are developed, ahead of an outline planning application expected to be submitted later in 2026.
The deadline for feedback is 6pm on Sunday 11 October 2026.
