Oxford City Council has secured extensions of closure orders for three properties following reports of antisocial behaviour, including drug dealing linked to the addresses.

The closure orders relate to one flat at Pound House, Pound Way, Oxford, and two flats at Cylinder House, Between Towns Road, Oxford.
The orders were approved by Oxford Magistrates’ Court, sitting at Reading Magistrates’ Court on 8 May 2026. The court heard evidence that the orders were necessary to prevent ongoing antisocial behaviour, including open drug dealing, noise nuisance and drug paraphernalia being left in communal areas. The tenants have been excluded from the properties, and the orders remain in place for three months until 8 August 2026.
The closure orders prohibit anyone from entering the properties, except authorised individuals including police officers and Oxford City Council officers and agents working on behalf of those organisations. Restrictions also apply to certain communal areas connected to the properties.
Oxford City Council worked alongside Thames Valley Police and partner agencies to secure the extensions.
Comment
“We take reports of antisocial behaviour very seriously and will take action where necessary to protect our residents.
“These closure orders follow months of serious, drug-related anti-social behaviour on the part of tenants of these flats and their associates. It will bring respite to the residents of the flats who had put up with nightly disturbances, including drug dealing and finding drug materials in their communal spaces. The tenants are now excluded from these properties.
“We will continue working closely with Thames Valley Police and our partner agencies to address antisocial behaviour across the city.”
