The Museum of Oxford has launched a call for local businesses, attractions, and cultural organisations to partner on a new programme of joint tickets and crossmarketing discounts.
The new scheme aims to strengthen the visitor experience in Oxford by creating collaborative offers that encourage exploration of the city’s heritage, culture, and independent businesses.
Partners will have the opportunity to codevelop:
- Joint or combined tickets
- Visitor packages
- Collaborative marketing campaigns
- Special offers for residents and tourists
The scheme follows the introduction of a small admission fee to support the museum’s charitable work, and will provide additional income to the museum.
Local businesses and attractions are invited to apply from today.
The application form and full details can be found on the Museum of Oxford website.
About the Museum
The Museum of Oxford is the only museum all about Oxford and tells the story of Oxford and its people through an exciting range of social history objects alongside interactive displays across two galleries. From football to fairgrounds, marmalade to Morris Motors, patron saints to pubs, barges, bones, and all types of quirky customs.
Inside the Museum’s two galleries, visitors can find collection items, video, audio, and interactive displays, and special exhibitions that uncover what makes Oxford such a special place to live, work and study.
The Museum also hosts a lively programme of regular events, including gallery tours, talks, city walking tours, family activities, late-night openings, and more.
“We want the Museum of Oxford to be part of a connected, thriving cultural and visitor ecosystem. By partnering with local attractions, shops, hospitality venues and more, we can offer increased value to our audiences while supporting the local economy.”
Councillor Alex Hollingsworth, Cabinet Member for Planning and Culture
