Applications are now open for Round 1 of Oxford City Council’s Small Grants scheme 2026-2027.

The scheme offers financial support to community groups and non-profit organisations who are working to reduce inequality in Oxford.

Applications for the Small Grants funding opened this week (Monday 12 January), and will be open until Monday 2 February.

There is a total of £50,000 available in this round, and organisations can apply for up to £3,000 to support their project.

The Small Grant scheme is part of the Council’s Community Impact Fund. The Community Impact Fund has already distributed £422,000 this year to 129 different local organisations, including Ark-T Centre, Cowley Road Works, Oxford Mutual Aid, Rose Hill Junior Youth Club, and Blackbird Leys Adventure Playground.

Oxford is the UK's second most unequal city and the Community Impact Fund provides city council backing for organisations working to reduce inequality through the delivery of essential services, strategic projects, and community-led initiatives.

Oxford City Council plans to provide almost £1m each year to support community and voluntary organisations through the Oxford Community Impact Fund.

Comment

“I am delighted to announce that applications are now open for round 1 of our Small Grants funding for 2026-27. These grants support local charities, voluntary groups and not-for-profit organisations in their work to reduce inequality in Oxford, giving these organisations a much-needed funding boost. If you know of an organisation in your community that would benefit please encourage them to apply so we can make sure these funds have the biggest and best possible impact across the city.”
