Oxford City Council is working with local businesses and organisations on a new initiative to improve the visitor experience across the city.

Oxford Tourism Hubs will help to fill a long-standing gap in the city’s tourism infrastructure by creating a network of clearly branded locations where visitors can access essential information and services.

Each hub will act as a welcoming point for visitors, offering a minimum standard of service, including:

  • Free physical and digital maps
  • Signposting to public toilets, including accessible and family-friendly options
  • Information on shopmobility services
  • Transport links and parking locations
  • Emergency and non-emergency contact guidance
  • Medical walk-in centre details
  • Free water refill points
  • Zero Emission Zone (ZEZ) information
  • College opening times

The initiative is part of a wider programme to support and manage the effects of Oxford’s successful tourist sector. The hubs will make it easier for visitors to navigate the city and discover its many attractions.
