To remove someone’s name from your lease, you need to instruct a solicitor.
Your solicitor must serve us:
- a notice of transfer with a certified copy of the transfer deed
- a notice of charge if you have a mortgage
The fees are:
- £80 if you don’t have a mortgage
- £101 if you have a mortgage
How to submit a request
You must make your payment before submitting the online form.
- Pay by BACS - use the property address as your payment reference, see Ways to make a payment
- Take a screenshot of the payment (you'll need to upload this when you complete the form)
To complete the online form, you will need:
- the names of the current leaseholders
- the address of the property
- your solicitor's name, address and contact details
- a notice of transfer and a certified copy of the transfer deed
- a notice of charge (if applicable)
- proof of payment
Request to remove of a name from a lease
