Responsibilities for Parking Enforcement

Fines Issued at Council Car Parks

We are responsible for parking enforcement in Council owned car parks only. The tariff boards at each of our car parks indicate the level of charge payable and the regulations governing each car park. Any infringement may result in an excess penalty of £100 being issued. These penalties must be paid within 28 days of issue. If payment is received within 14 days, a reduced amount of £50 will be accepted.

Enforcement in our car parks is carried out by our own staff. No bonuses are paid to staff for issuing parking tickets, and no performance targets or quotas are given to staff.

Parking fines issued by our staff have reference numbers consisting of 8 digits starting with OC.

If your parking ticket was issued by us, visit our Pay Your Parking Fine page to make a payment.
