To ensure noise from outdoor events is kept to a minimum we have a Code of Practice that expects organisers to:
- Undertake a noise risk assessment to identify properties that may be affected and how noise will be minimised
- Impose conditions on when certain activities can take place
- Limit the volume of amplified sound systems
- Log any complaints about noise they receive
We will normally monitor events to ensure that conditions are being adhered to.

A Code of Practice and Guidance note been produced to assist the organisers of concerts and similar open air events in making their entertainment run smoothly for the benefit of those attending whilst ensuring that unreasonable disturbance is not caused to local residents.
