Longbridges Nature Park

On the opposite side of the road to Iffley Meadows, Longbridges is a SSSI of 5.1ha.

How to get there

The postcode for Longbridges is OX4 4AX.

As with many riverside locations, access is by foot or cycle along the Thames Path or from Weirs Lane.

The nearest car park is off Meadow Lane.

Once an open-air river bathing place on a backwater of the River Thames, Longbridges is now a nature reserve, where  two small backwaters join together.

Things to do

A walk through the nature reserve can be incorporated into a longer walk along the Thames Path, taking in the sights and sounds of the river and its surroundings.
