Cutteslowe and Sunnymead Park is the largest and most popular of the City Council’s parks and is in fact two parks separated by the ring road, joined by a footbridge. The two sites combined have good potential for extra-large scale events. The park has an array of facilities including three pavilions. There is very high footfall all year round.
Oxford Parkway Railway Station and Park & Ride is only 5 minutes away

How to Get there

Active Travel: 25 min cycle ride from the city centre, 6 min from Oxford Parkway.

Public transport: Bus stops on Banbury Road; services from the city centre and 500 service for Oxford Parkway.

Parking: Pay & display car parks at the north end, Harbord Road entrance, and the south end, off the A40 entrance. Restricted parking on nearby residential roads. There is the capacity to create event parking in the park itself.

Key Considerations
  • Access width for vehicles: 3.7m (Harbord Road), 4.75m (Northern Bypass)
  • The Oxford Park Run takes place every Saturday. Event organisers are required to get in touch with park run organisers if the event is scheduled for a Saturday
  •  The park’s sports pitches are well-used throughout the football season. Availability needs to be checked in advance
  • The lower-lying field can be come partially flooded after prolonged periods of heavy rain.
