Scams and fraud
Unfortunately, energy efficiency schemes are often used by scammers. General advice is to decline all cold call offers for home repairs and improvements.
Consumers can call the national consumer advice service, operated by Citizens Advice, to both report matters to trading standards and receive advice and support on consumer and contract matters.
However, if anyone feels threatened or intimidated by a cold caller, they should call the police on 999.
