Following its approval last night (18 December) by the City Council's Executive Board, the Draft Budget 2019/20 is now going out to public consultation.
It will be a chance for Oxford's residents to have their say on the proposed budget priorities for the next year.
The draft budget consultation is available on the Council's website.
Cllr Ed Turner, Board Member for Finance and Asset Management, said: "As we move closer to finalising the City Council's budget for next year, it's important that residents have a chance to make clear their feelings on the proposals. I want to encourage as many people as possible to take part in this consultation so that we can take into account of as many views as possible.
"We continue to face financial challenges as the Government grant reduces zero next year, coupled with low interest rates and wider economic risks. But by taking a forward-thinking and dynamic approach, we are putting forward a balanced budget; and we are confident we will be able to avoid cuts and continue to improve front-line services for the people of Oxford."
The consultation runs until 25 January 2019.
A final decision on the budget is expected to be made by the Council in February.
