City Councillors abseil for charity

Published: Wednesday, 26th September 2018

Last Saturday, City Council Leader Susan Brown joined other councillors to raise money for the Oxford Hospitals Charity (OHC) by abseiling from the roof of the John Radcliffe Hospital.

The money raised by Susan will be focused on the OHC’s Injury Minimisation Programme for Schools.

Councillor Susan Brown said: “While there may be some members of the public who would always like to see politicians taking a running jump, there are times when it is unquestionably the right thing to do. That time was last Saturday, when with some trepidation, I and some of my colleagues from other Oxfordshire councils abseiled down the side of the JR Children’s Hospital. The cause, raising money for Oxford Hospitals Charity, couldn’t be a better one!”
