Stopping fraud will be the name of the game when delegates meet at Oxford Town Hall on 20 September for the third Annual Fraud Conference.

The event aims to share best practice, knowledge and experience in the prevention and detection of public sector fraud.

Around 170 counter-fraud practitioners from over 50 organisations will be attending, making this the largest local authority organised conference of this type.

Industry-leading companies who will be there include Intec For Business, Trust ID, ITS Training (UK) Ltd, the Identity Organisation, Peter Darby Associates, CAF Solutions and HooYu.

Speakers  will include Mike Neumann from ITS, Chris Haycock from Coventry University, Matt Green-Armytage and Christie Lewis from Trust ID and Iain Wightwick from Unity Street Chambers and Dr Mike Gilbert from Portsmouth University.

Councillor Ed Turner, City Council Deputy Leader and Board Member for Finance and Asset Management said: "Since it started  two years ago Oxford's Annual Fraud Conference has firmly established itself as the country's prime event for industry professionals to exchange ideas, experience and best practice.

"Its growing reputation is due in no small part to it being organised by the City Council's award winning Fraud Investigation Team, who have a proven track record in uncovering fraudulent activity not only in Oxford, but also in the other districts both within and outside of Oxfordshire.  They provide a cost effective anti-fraud service that is second to none."
