The easy way to book repairs

Published: Monday, 30th January 2017

There is now a quick, simple and more convenient way for people who rent their homes from Oxford City Council to arrange a repair for their properties – online through a new area on the City Council’s website: Repair My House.

Council tenants can not only report and book a repair online at a time that is convenient for them, but they can also track its progress through the system and receive reminder text messages.

Councillor Susan Brown, Board Member for Customer and Corporate Services said: “This is a very straightforward way for people to be able to report and book repairs at their convenience. People can still phone with their repair requests if they wish to, but I’m sure that many will find the online reporting easier and more convenient.”

Councillor Mike Rowley, Board Member for Housing, added: “We want to make sure that our tenants get the best service possible so the Council has invested in a way to make repair reporting more convenient. There’s no longer a need to get on the phone during office hours. The portal is available 24/7 and using it means tenants can book repair visits at a time that suits them. It all adds up to a better way to get a repair sorted out.”

Oxford City Council tenants who book online will receive a confirmation email and reminder text messages. Text messages are also available for those who book by phone.

The online service has been designed to work on different devices and operating systems. So whether customers use a PC, their mobile phone or a tablet, Oxford City Council tenants will find the whole process easy and convenient from start to finish.

The Repair My House page is simple to follow, making it easy to book a repair and track it through until it’s done. For more information visit: /
