Last chance to have say on future of East Oxford Community Centre

Published: Monday, 24th October 2016

East Oxford residents have until Friday (28/10) to have their say on a potential multi-million pound redevelopment of East Oxford Community Centre.

Oxford City Council’s public consultation, which has been open since Friday 30 September, closes at 23.59pm on Friday.

The consultation invites residents to choose which of the redevelopment options – ranging from a £350,000 minor refurbishment to a £2.3m major refurbishment and major development of the centre – they would prefer to see.

The options were put forward by a year-long and independent investigation of what is feasible on the site.

Councillor Christine Simm, Executive Board Member for Culture and Communities, said: “It’s really important that we get everyone’s views about the future of East Oxford Community Centre. If you haven’t yet had your say, please find some time this week to take part in the consultation.
