Are you a charity or community group in Oxford that could use £400 to make a difference to your area?
If you are, Oxford City Council would like you to take part in a new competition called the Blue Bin Recycling League.
To take part, all you have to do is explain how you would spend the £400 to improve your community.
The best pitches will then be chosen to take part in the Blue Bin Recycling League.
The Blue Bin Recycling League is residents’ big chance to win money for themselves and their community just by recycling more.
Oxford City Council has split Oxford into eight areas. Every month the areas will compete against each other to see which can improve its recycling the most.
People from the winning area will then be invited to vote for a charity or community group to win a £400 prize to help improve their area.
On top of this, two households from the winning area who have signed up to take part in the competition will be drawn from a hat to win a prize worth more than £30.
The competition will run every month until 2019 – meaning there is about £20,000 worth of individual and community prizes up for grabs.
