Forum to discuss football in Oxford

Published: Tuesday, 23rd February 2016

Oxford City Council will host a forum to discuss football in the city tomorrow (24 February).

The forum, which takes place annually and is held in partnership with Oxfordshire FA, will update football clubs about the City Council’s work to improve facilities in Oxford, and give clubs the opportunity to raise issues.

The event will take place at Oxford City Football Club in Marsh Lane between 6.30pm and 8pm.

Along with Councillors and officers from Oxford City Council, representatives from Oxfordshire FA and Oxford’s leagues and refereeing associations will attend.

Anyone from a football club in Oxford city is welcome to attend.

Councillor Mark Lygo, Executive Board Member for Leisure, Sport and Events, said: “This is an opportunity for anyone involved in football in Oxford to have their say on the future of the sport in the city.”
