Working on behalf of Oxford City Council, ODS beat off six other councils to snap up the Business Maintenance Award from the Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE) at a ceremony at the Grand Hotel, Blackpool earlier this month.

ODS has been a finalist, on behalf of the Council, for the award for five of the last six years by showing consistent high standard work. But this year the City Council and ODS came out on top by showing that:
- they kept over 99 per cent of appointments on time
- 99 per cent of emergency repairs were completed on time
- empty properties were quickly turned around
- 100 per cent of gas appliance certificates (CP12) have been in place every year for the last nine years.
