Rose Hill Community Centre is celebrating the festive season with a Christmas-themed open mic session on Monday 9 December 2019.
“Join us for a Christmassy version of our monthly open mic. Look forward to mince pies, Christmas vibes and a few Christmas songs and poems. But don't worry, you don't have to do a Christmas song - all types of performance are welcome as always.
“As always we expect to see some great talent on show, and we’d love to see new faces come and join us. If you’re not a performer come and enjoy the show and get into the Christmas spirit with us.”
Elizabeth Couves, Community Assistant at Rose Hill Community Centre
Come and perform your song, rap, poem, comedy routine, dance or live art in front of a friendly and supportive audience at the Rose Hill Social Club. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
This is a safe space and all abilities and ages are welcome. The event is family friendly and free to attend, though donations are welcome. Performers will have 10 minute performance slots on rotation.
The open mic has a sound system, two microphones, an acoustic guitar, an electric guitar and (if requested before the day) a keyboard. Please get in touch in advance if you'd like to use one of these. Feel free to bring any other equipment you need with you.
