We may need to refurbish your kitchen or bathroom to keep your home safe, modern and in good working order. The refurbishment usually takes around 5 working days.

Before work starts
Before work starts, you can help by emptying your kitchen or bathroom.
Leave large appliances, such as washing machines, in place unless we tell you otherwise.
What to expect during the work
During the refurbishment, we may need to:
- turn off your water supply for plumbing work, only for as long as necessary
- switch off your gas or electricity for safety reasons, only for as long as necessary
- carry out electrical rewiring to meet current safety standards
At the end of each day, we will make sure you have essential services, including:
- power and lighting in all rooms
- hot and cold water in your bathroom or kitchen
- a working toilet
