If you want independent advice about your rights and responsibilities as a leaseholder, these organisations can help. They are not part of Oxford City Council.

Leaseholder Advisory Service (LEASE)

LEASE provides free, independent advice on all aspects of residential leasehold property, including service charges and management issues. It is funded by the government.

Local Government Ombudsman (LGO)

The LGO investigates complaints about council landlords. However, the Ombudsman will only investigate a matter if you have already been through Oxford City Council’s formal complaint procedure.

Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)

RICS sets professional standards for surveyors and provides guidance on housing and property matters.
