Central heating installation

Your central heating installation is expected to take around five working days to complete.

What to expect during the work

• floorboards and/or carpets may need to be lifted. Floorboards will be re-secured, and carpets placed back down, but not re-fitted
• your water supply will be temporarily turned off when necessary for plumbing work, but only for the shortest time needed
• for electrical or gas work, your electricity/gas supply will be switched off for safety, again only for as long as necessary
• at the end of each day, we'll ensure you have essential services: power and lighting in all rooms, hot and cold water in your bathroom and/or kitchen, and a functioning toilet
• we won’t redecorate, box in, or paint exposed pipework. However, we will make good any redundant screw holes or holes drilled for pipes

How you can help

To assist in the smooth completion of the work, please:

• clear furniture from areas where new radiators and pipes will be installed
• empty your airing cupboard for access to the hot water cylinder
