Delay in returning completed searches
We are currently experiencing a delay in returning completed searches due to a backlog following the identification of anomalies within layers of the mapping system that holds our data. The issues have been resolved and our Land Charges team are prioritising clearing the backlog as soon as possible. We expect this to take approximately 10 to 15 working days from Tuesday 30 March 2021. Thank you for your patience and we respectfully ask that you do not contact us to enquire as to when you can expect your search results unless this period has passed.
To submit a search request for local land charges use the link below. You will need to register for this service to use it.
Details of our fees and turnaround times can be found on our Local Land Charges Search Fees page.
We usually begin processing your search request on the day we receive it, however, incomplete applications may cause a delay. When requesting a search please be aware of the following:
- Each search request form ( LLC1, CON29R or CON29O) is a standalone document and can be submitted in any combination.
- The correct fee must be paid before the search can be processed. If you wish to check an area of land/property to find out the correct fee, please contact us.
- An up to date plan of the search area must be included with the search boundary clearly identified, preferably edged in red.
- Box C on the CON29(R) form: please identify the roadways, footpaths and footways either by name or by colouring the areas on the plan submitted with your search.
We do not offer an expedited search service, but if you have an urgent search let us know and we will do our best to return it to you as soon as possible.
Search Cancellation Policy
Our policy is that we will only accept cancellation of a search if we have not started processing it.
