Winter Wellness - Do you want to find out how to keep warm and well this winter?
We have teamed up with health partners across the city to bring you a Winter Warmers Health Event at Rose Hill Community Centre on Wednesday 3 December from 10am- 12pm.
Health partners will be on on hand to answer your questions, have your blood pressure checked, get your winter vaccine, or even join in a light exercise session. A free hot drink and free hot soup will also be available.
Partners include:
- Better Homes Better Health - to help keep you warm and well at home and improve the energy efficiency of your home
- Your Local Social Prescribers from (SEOxHA) The Leys, Donington and Temple Cowley Health Centres - providing free blood pressure equipment
- Various NHS Services including bowel cancer awareness, breast screening, digital access and you can also get your winter flu vaccine (if eligible)
- Rose Hill Methodist Church Food Bank
- Rose Hill Junior Youth Club and People for the younger generation
- Smoke free oxon - to help you quit smoking
- Maximus UK and Serco offering exercise taster sessions
- Move Together and You Move - Getting all generations in to low cost or free healthy activities
There are also giveaways and prizes to be won, including hand warmers, blankets, scarfs, hats, gloves, draught excluders, and more.
