Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer at Town Hall, St. Aldate’s, Oxford, OX1 1BX during the hours noted below.

Nomination papers must be submitted, in person, to the Returning Officer on any day after the date of this notice (excluding bank holidays) between 10am-5pm, but no later than 4pm on Thursday 9th April 2026.

If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 7th May 2026.

Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Monday 20th April 2026. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Tuesday 21st April 2026. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote.

Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document must be submitted to the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Tuesday 28th April 2026. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-to-vote.

Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Tuesday 28th April 2026. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/apply-for-proxy.

Applications to vote by proxy at this election applied for on grounds of physical incapacity or work reasons, where that physical incapacity or work reason occurred after 5pm on Tuesday 28th April 2026, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Thursday, 7th May 2026.
