There will be a referendum on the proposed neighbourhood plan for Littlemore parish area.
For further information see our littlemore Neighbourhood Plan page. This will give details of the plan and the process that lead up to its publication.
The electors within Littlemore parish now have the opportunity to say whether they wish the City Council to use the plan in order to decide planning applications within the area.
The referendum will take place on Thursday 29 January 2026.
The usual polling stations will be used.
They are:
- Cardinal House, Cardinal Close
- Littlemore Community Centre
- Littllemore Village Hall

Important dates for the referendum are as follows:
- deadline to register to vote: midnight on 13 January 2026 - you can register online on the Register to vote page on GOV.UK
- deadline to apply to vote by post: 5pm on 14 January 2026 - you can apply for a postal vote on the Apply for a postal vote page on GOV.UK
- deadline to apply to vote by proxy: 5pm on 21 Janaury 2026 - you can apply for a proxy vote on the Apply for a proxy vote pgae on GOV.UK
- Polling day: Thursday 29 January 2026, hours of poll are 7am to 10pm

The result of the referendum was:
Yes: 547
No: 79
Turnout: 13.5%
Therefore the referendum confirmed that the City Council should use the Littlemore Neighbourhood Plan when considering planning applications in the area.
