If you are asking yourself questions about your language and your behaviour, there is a good chance have noticed some warning signs.

This is the first step to making a positive change.

If you are thinking about it, it is best to speak with someone to find out more.

How to know if you need to change

Ask youself the following questions:

  1. Are you worried about how your words or actions affect your partner, ex-partner, or family member?
  2. Are you worried that your behaviour is having an impact on your children?
  3. Are they scared of you?
  4. Does your jealousy cause arguments or violence?
  5. Do you make promises to change which you don’t stick to?

If you have answered yes (or maybe) to any of these questions, or something similar is going on, there are specialist services who can talk things through with you.

Specialist services to talk to

There are some specialist organisations who have many years of experience working with people to make positive changes to behaviour.

You can talk to them in confidence about your behaviour. Advisers will listen to you without judgement and give you honest advice.
