The Crisis and Resilience Fund: Housing Payment (HP) is a short-term payment you can apply for if you claim housing benefit or Universal Credit and can't afford to pay your rent. This scheme replaced Discretionary Housing Payments from 1 April 2026. The fund is provided by the UK government and is funded for three years from April 2026 to March 2029.
