Council Tax is based on two adults living in a property. Where there are fewer than two adults who have their main home at a property, a discount can be given.
If a property is occupied by one adult, a 25% Single Person Discount is available.

Discounts for disregarded adults
There are certain people who are disregarded for council tax purposes when determining the number of adults in a household.
If the number of adults drops below two, then you could be entitled to a discount.
