Repairs you are responsible for

If you're a leaseholder, you are responsible for certain repairs within your home, including:

  • electrical issues like faulty sockets
  • plumbing problems such as a leaking tap or a non-flushing toilet
  • gas-related issues

You're also responsible for the glazing in your windows.

When hiring tradesmen for home repairs, make sure they have adequate public liability insurance and the required qualifications, especially for gas and electrical work.
