Blackbird Leys Park
Overview
Blackbird Leys Park is a 9-hectare 'green haven' in the middle of Blackbird Leys estate, with a tree-lined meandering brook and open grass areas. It is located in the South East of Oxford next to Leys Pools and Leisure Centre.

Blackbird Leys Park was recently awarded a Green Flag Award from the Keep Britain Tidy scheme. The Green Flag Award is the national standard for parks and green spaces in England and Wales. The award scheme began in 1996 as a means of recognising and rewarding the best green spaces in the country.

The original Leys estate and Greater Leys are now simply known as the Leys and its population at the time of the last census stood at 13,586.

Drones

It is currently not possible to fly model aircraft or drones (both with and without camera for filming purposes) within Oxford City Council’s public open spaces, including parks and nature reserves.

As these spaces are open to the public and experience high visitor numbers throughout the year, flying model aircraft and drones are not permitted for safety reasons.
