Christmas and New Year office closures

Published: Wednesday, 13th December 2017

On 22 and 29 December, the Customer Service Centre at St. Aldate’s Chambers will close early at 4.45pm.

The Council’s Customer Service Centre at Templars Square will be closing permanently on 22 December at 4.45pm. This is because numbers visiting the office have been in steady decline, and because the Department of Work and Pensions has decided to extend their implementation of Universal Credit, so customers who would have made a new claim for housing benefit will have to claim Universal Credit via the DWP’s online service.
Our records show that many of our customers are choosing other ways to contact us either via our website using our online services, or our automated telephony service.
The St Aldate's Chambers Centre will remain closed from 23 December until 27 December, when it will open during normal office hours (9am until 5pm).

It will then be closed from 30 December to 1 January, reopening during normal office hours on 2 January.
