Oxford City Council is inviting residents to apply to join the Oxford Residents’ Panel and have their say on local issues in the city.

The Oxford Residents' Panel provides residents with the opportunity to share their views and opinions on subjects such as the future of Oxford, the services provided by the Council, and other local organisations.

Panel members will be able to share their views through online surveys and engagement exercises, and insights from the panel will help the Council to improve its services to residents.

The Oxford Residents’ Panel does not replace formal consultations and engagement activities, and is a way for residents to share their views informally. Previous topics that the Residents’ Panel have shared their views on include:

  • views on the coronavirus pandemic
  • the Council’s approach to parks management
  • the local environment and climate change

Throughout the year, panel members will be invited to take part in various research projects. There is no obligation to take part in any of the surveys.

Participation in the Oxford Residents' Panel is unpaid, however panel members will be entered into a quarterly prize draw of £250, comprising of one £150 prize for the first name drawn out, and two of £50 for the second and third names selected.

How to apply

The panel is free to join, and those wishing to apply must live in Oxford and must be at least 16 years old.

More information and FAQs can be found on the Residents' Panel webpages.

“The Oxford Residents' Panel is an opportunity for residents to have their say on the services and local issues that matter to them. The panel helps us to gain an insight into the views of our city, and will help us to improve our services as a Council. I encourage anyone who wants to share their views to take part."
