Oxford City Council is set to install portable toilets in Market Street to temporarily replace the ladies’ public toilets.

The City Council was forced to close the public toilets in Market Street following the collapse of part of the ceiling in the facility.

The gents’ toilets were able to reopen, but the ladies’ toilets remain closed due to the unsafe ceiling.

The bank of four portable toilets will be installed tomorrow (21/6) in the loading bays in Market Street. The toilets will be operational from Wednesday (22/6).

The portable toilets will be in place until the ceiling in the public toilets has been repaired and the facility can reopen.

It is hoped that the ladies’ public toilets will reopen in July.
