Oxford City Council’s car parks, including the park and rides, have been free for NHS staff, health and social care workers or NHS volunteer responders during the pandemic.

Now with lockdown restrictions being eased and demand for parking increasing, Oxford City Council, in line with Oxfordshire County Council, is withdrawing free parking concessions for NHS staff and key workers.

From 19 July 2021 copies of NHS passes or letters from employers left in vehicles, will no longer be recognised for free parking. After this date, vehicles not parking in accordance with the restrictions run the risk of being issued with an Excess Charge Notice.

Please remember to make payment to park from this date. For any queries regarding parking in Oxford please email car parks, phone 01865 252489 or visit the car parking page.
