Published: Thursday, 31st March 2016

Local author Martin Stott will discuss his book, The Cowley Road Cookbook, at the Museum of Oxford on Saturday (2 April).

The book shares recipes and tales inspired by the Cowley Road, Oxford. The road has developed a distinctive food history, with influences from many different cultures.

It is both a culinary book, and a social and cultural history of the street and its surrounding area stretching over 900 years.

Martin Stott has lived in and around the Cowley Road for more than 35 years. He has been a City Councillor, school governor, campaigner and activist and has written for a range of media.

The free talk will take place in the Museum of Oxford’s Old Museum between 1pm and 2.30pm.
