Oxford City Council wants to make it as easy as possible for people to pay their council tax and council home rent.

But these are challenging times for all of us so in March, the Council suspended payment by cash or cheque.

The alternative to using cash or cheques is simple and straightforward. Just go to the Council’s pay it online webpage.

Paying online is not only easier for our customers, it’s more efficient for the Council at a time when staff resources are stretched due to the lockdown. And, most importantly, paying online eliminates the risk of spreading coronavirus that may come from posting cash or cheques.

Those who don’t have internet access can still pay their bills at a PayPoint or a post office.  And we’re still here to help, so anyone who has concerns or is unsure what to do can call the Council on 01865 249811.
