Oxford City Council is urging local businesses to apply for the Government’s Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant scheme, as they could be losing out on much-needed funding.
The scheme, which provides grants of up to £6,000 to hospitality, leisure and accommodation businesses, is administered by Oxford City Council.
It provides one-off support to hospitality, leisure and accommodation businesses, in recognition of the impact the rise of the Omicron variant will have had on some businesses.
The scheme closes on Friday 18 March 2022 but it is not too late to apply.
The aim of the Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant scheme is to support businesses:
- that offer in-person services
- where the main service and activity takes place in a fixed rate-paying premises
- in the hospitality, leisure and accommodation sectors
Applications are done online, and businesses will be asked to upload documentary evidence. Applications can be saved and completed at a later date while this evidence is gathered.

Businesses can check their eligibility and apply on the Grant Approval website.
