Collections take place from 7am to 4.30pm Tuesday to Friday. All missed bin collections must be reported the following working day if you would like us to arrange an alternative collection.
There are a number of reasons why a bin may not have been emptied. Before reporting that your bin has been missed it is important to check the following:
- You bin was put out for collection before 7am
- Your bin was in the correct location for collection – see putting your bins out for collection
- There have been no collection date changes due to national holidays
- The crew have put a sticker on your bin explaining why it was not emptied
If you have put out extra rubbish next to your green wheelie bin, it will not be collected. Only your green bin will be emptied.
Each collection vehicle is fitted with a live reporting system that allows our collection crews to report any issues (e.g. bins which have the wrong thing in, bins that aren't put out correctly and any other access issues). These will be checked prior to any recollection. If an issue is recorded by the crews we will not return.
